    The team started slowly with Bulleen dominating the 2nd quarter.  The team fought harder in the 2nd half but our kicking let us down with 11 points in the 2nd half.  The backline were again good and many of our players carried injuries - the on ballers worked hard and our forwards started to work their way into the game.

    Best Players: Ruggieri, Amiguet, Tambakis, Loz, Chez, Bourke, Jesse, Posar and Bonello
    Encouragement: Kokoda - Cary Amiguet - was solid and worked very hard all day.

    All raffle books that have not been returned must be handed back to your Team Managers this Sunday, sold or not sold.  This must be finalised as the draw will take place at next Friday night’s dinner dance.

    In poor conditions, the game was tight all day.  The team struggled to cope with the wet conditions but showed patches of brilliance.  When the game was there to be won, Ashburton were more desperate.  Free kicks cost us dearly on the last quarter.  Thanks to Rick and Matt for playing this week and we look forward to getting some of our injured players back.

    We came up against a well disciplined Preston side.  We opened up well with the wind and kicked 5 goals.  We worked very hard into it in the second and came in with a 3 goal break.  We kicked an early goal in the 3rd and then went to sleep and Preston kicked 3 in a row.  The game was on but the Colts 1 boys rallied and worked hard enough to win by 3 goals.

    With only 16 players each and a wet ground the game provided something different from the usual.  The team started well with great set shot kicking in the first quarter.  Our running game continued to improve in difficult conditions.  The backline was again unstoppable.  Several running passaged in the last quarter were exciting especially Loz's run off half back.  The team finished well and were spent.

    Team started well with Josh kicking 4 goals in the first uarter.  Skill errors and poor kicking cost us a big lead in the second and third quarters but the team finished well.  Ant and Joey were great in the clearances, with Loz, Bourke and Ferra great down back.  The forward line started to work well with Jayden providing good contests and Josh crumbing well.

    Team started slow but teally worked into the game.  Backline was again superb - starting many attacks which resulted in goals.  Everyone contributed to the result.

    The team went in undermanned today against a team that beat us by 5 goals.  The team started well and really moved the ball well out of defence.  All players ran well and played disciplined football.  Matt Egan did a great job in the ruck and Jayden and Stroma worked hard down forward all day.  Thanks to Matt Egan and Tom Cooper for their help today.

    The team really came together today with great efforts by all players.  With injury to Joey - Ant stepped up and played a great captains game.  The team played well disciplined football, all players continued to improve and build on their season.  The mid field was great and the back line again stood up to everything.

    We came up against a very disciplined opposition.  Our team improved from previous weeks in keeping the forward line open and our running was good in patches.

    The team dominated most of the game with our running and our backline pressure was good. Kicking let us down.

    The second game of the year turned out to be a really tight contest.  We came up against a very good opponent in Ashburton.  In the first half we were often hesitant and second to the ball.  Our skills let us down early.  At half time we were some 18 points down.  After being challenged during the long break, the boys responded by working extremely hard and got over the line by 5 points.

    It was the first time the team has been together.  We started slow but bonded as the day went on.  The midfield worked hard all day.  The backline held up under great pressure.  With the game in the balance at 3 quarter time and wind against is, the boys showed great character to come away with a good win.  Many boys stood up in the last quarter which was very encouraging.
