Under 17 - Colts 1

The team played hard, tough footy all day with everyone contributing.  The backline were fantastic all day with the mid field working hard and the forwards taking advantage of their opportunities.

Great team effort - tem played with great intensity - with everyone contributing.  Our defense was fantastic with Borg and Dicko leading the charge.  Ostrowsky and Moppa were great and the mid field worked hard all day.  The forwards presented all day with them working hard.

In difficult conditions the team played well all day.  Great way to finish the home and away season.  The next phast starts next week.

The team started well winning the ball, but poor kicking early let us down.  THe backline was great with Dicko and Moppa both driving forward, coupled with Derham, Borg and Sacchetta, they stood up all day.  Ronalds marking was a highlight and Snell, Chops and Bassy won the ball all day.  Browny did well with 3 marks in front and it was great to have Douky back.

Team started strongley although our kicking let us down.  Chops dominated in the first quarter with Snell going well - ruck.  The backline were good all day with the return of Dicko and Borgy, Moppa and Derham picked up everything.  Ostowksy and Jacko were both better for the run, getting some of the ball - Flash, Bassy, Minuz were great in the middle.  Smidge played a good 100th on the wind, trying hard all day.

Great team effort - good to have Jacko back.  Many players had their best game of the season - Smidge and Myles. Good games by our on ballers with all in backline working hard, particularly Borg, Derham and Sacchetta.

We started slowly, but after half time really matched up well.  The backline was under pressure from the start with Borg and Petrovski working hard.  Our forwards worked well after half time particularly in the 3rd quarter with Le Feve and Flash controlling the middle.

In the last quarter we kept up good pressure and finished the game well.

The team played well all day with the exception of our kicking.  Ostrowsky started to show return to form and Moppa was great across half back.  The leading and marking of Millett and Guldon was a highlight with our on ballers Snell, Bassy, Chops, Le Feve and Minuz outstanding.  Myles work rate was good all day particularly his ruck work in the last quarter.

Team started well with good intensity.  Our kicking for goal let us down.  Great to have Dicko, Moppa and Ostrowsky back.  All played good first up games.  Occy played a good first half and Browne worked hard all day.  Borg did a good job down back and Pappas worked hard all day.

The team started well with great ferocity at the ball.  We moved the ball well early and capitalised with a good lead at quarter time.  Some great individual efforts - Flash - half back, Borgy - full back, Dinakis - middle, on ballers who worked and ran hard all day.  Ind and Occy worked hard with second efforts.  Thanks to Joycie for coming to help - great game in defence.

The team started slow with the backline again holding the game together.  Many players showed good work rates particularly down back with Petrovsky and Borgy playing well. Pstrowsky, Flash and Doukas played their best games of the season.  Our finish in last quarter was great with the team lifting particularly Guldon, Flash, Occy & Ronalds.  Pappas was again great off half back as was Derham in the last quarter.

Started slow but gained momentum as the game went on.  Many players stepped up after Chops was injured.  Well done to Strowsky, Dinakis and Derham on great come back games.

Kokoda spirit  - Milly for standing up when the time came. Great work by the back line all day - Pappas Sacchetta and Moppa.  The team stood up when needed.

The team started slowly but continued to build intensity as the game progressed.  The forward line were disciplined in keeping it open.  There were some great individual efforts:

• the marking of both Snell and Ronalds
• the constant spoiling of Papas in the backline
• the 2nd half intensity  and work of Le Feve
• the long kicking and drive of Petrovsky
• the courage and work of Occy

In addition, the backline kept up pressure all day making it hard for the opposition to score - well done to Brown, Barnett, Sacchetta, Pappas and Moppa.

A good win by the team. Many boys played their best game for a long time including Sacchetta, Martin, Ind, Millett and particularly Doukas was outstanding, so was Barnett.  I was impressed by our attack on the ball and constant running.  We look forward to future weeks including improving our forward set.

The team started slowly, but really started to fire in the second quarter.  Led by Chops, the team ran in numbers and started to work together.  The backline were great all day led by Dicko and Borgy.  Good to see Flash and Sacchetta getting their hands on the ball and great to see Indy back with the team.

The team started the year well with a win.  There were some great individual efforts particularly Fowler and Minuz who were ferocious at the ball all day.  The backline efforts of Brown, Borg, Pappas, Moppa, Barnett and Dinakis were great in holding out an attacking Ivanhoe towards the end.  The forward efforts were good with only our kicking letting us down.
